David & Scott have been involved with horses all of their lives and have been involved with Arabian horses for over 20 years now. As a gift from his parents Scott received Scout, a Pinto Quarter Horse in 1981. Scout was a yearling at the time and Scott was 13 years old. We stopped counting Scout's wins after 600. Scout has always been a special horse that anybody could ride and show. He has won every type of class, including Halter, Showmanship, Western, Hunter, Trail, Barrel racing and pole bending. "This is the kind of horse that comes around only once in a lifetime."
Scott started showing Arabians after his brother Gary purchased FP Sadaka back in the 80's. He was in training for English and Gary showed him for a number of years at Class A shows in Michigan. Scott started showing him years later when all his friends had Arabians. So we pulled him out of retirement at age 20 and started riding him again and went to a number of shows. Sadaka was co-owned with Scott's brother Gary. He was put down at age the ripe age of 27. He was such a fun horse to be around. He was gelded late in life, so he really thought he was the stallion at the farm and when all the foals came, he knew they must have been his :-).
One of David's first Arabians was a yearling gelding by Desperado V that he purchased from Shelia Varian sight unseen. The day Montana arrived in Michigan from California David knew this was one very special horse.
As a two year old we showed Montana in the very competitive Two year-old Gelding Halter Sweepstakes class with much success. When Montana turned 3 David's brother Jim Cains started Montana's ground work and eventually broke him out. That summer Jim showed Montana at Region 14 in the Bonanza class. Montana was shown in Western, Hunt and Trail. Two years in a row as a three year-old and a four year-old Montana and Jim were Region 14 Bonanza Champions. At that time we decided it was time to get serious about Montana's career as a performance horse. David 's vision for Montana three years ago when he purchased him was a future Western Pleasure horse and with Montana's early success in the showring we were very excited to place Montana into the very capable hands of Lee & Cookie Mancini of Mancini Training Center.
After several months of training Lee was able to identify Montana's natural ability and suggested that we train Montana for competition in the Hunter performance division. Since no one has or ever will see Lee in a pair of Hunt pants Montana was placed with Michele Blackwell of Blackwell Stables for the 1996 year. By the end of that year Montana was Canadian Reserve National Champion Junior Hunter Horse. Every class Montana and Michele entered they were either champion or reserve champion. We had a great year with Michele and CJ Gleason, prior to owning a Hunter Pleasure horse we never appreciated the true talent of a Hunter horse. We have since sold Montana to Abbey Racke of Brighton Michigan.
Our greatest pleasure as Arabian Horse breeders comes every spring with the birth of our beautiful foals, who represent the next generation of our breeding program. We are a small farm and every breeding is critically important to our breeding success.

Many people may only know us as the owners of The Arabian Horse Network, however we are lifelong horse owners and have been showing and breeding Arabian horses for the past 21 years. We started a Web site specifically for Arabian horses after needing an innovative way to market our horses. Arabhorse.com has since become the most successful online marketing network for Arabian horses. We now represent over 220 farms and thousands of Arabian horses on the Internet.
Stonewall Farm has developed a successful breeding program based on our remarkable collection of broodmares, including daughters of Bask Flame, *Padrons Psyche and *Eukaliptus. Stonewall Farm also has a small straight Egyptian Arabian program breeding our straight Egyptian mare to a straight Egyptian stallion. The focus of our breeding program is to breed structurally correct, typey Arabians who are capable of an outstanding performance career after a successful halter career.
